Workers' Compensation Care

Medical evaluation, physical therapy, and behavioral health, integrated under one plan.

A Different Kind of Workers' Comp Provider

A workplace injury affects more than the body. It affects income, routine, sleep, and mood — and most workers' compensation clinics treat only the physical injury and stop there. We built our program specifically because that isn't enough.

At Mojave, an injured worker gets a coordinated plan across three disciplines under one roof: a thorough medical evaluation, physical therapy specific to the injury, and behavioral health support that accounts for the emotional weight of being hurt and out of work.

Why the Behavioral Health Piece Matters Here

Most workers' comp clinics have no visibility into the emotional side of a workplace injury and no infrastructure to address it if it develops into something more significant.

We do — because it's the same clinical team managing your physical recovery and your emotional wellbeing, rather than two disconnected providers who never talk to each other.

And because Mojave's broader practice includes addiction treatment, we're also positioned to recognize and connect patients with substance use concerns to the right care, rather than missing it entirely the way a typical workers' comp clinic would.

What We Provide

  • Comprehensive post-accident medical evaluation and primary care specific to your workers' compensation claim

  • Physical therapy tailored to your specific injury and job demands

  • Trauma-informed behavioral health support for the emotional impact of the injury and the recovery process

  • Psychiatric evaluation and medication management for anxiety, depression, PTSD, or other mental health conditions that develop or worsen following a workplace injury

  • Recognition and appropriate referral if substance use concerns arise during your recovery — connected directly to Mojave's addiction treatment services when needed

  • Coordinated documentation across medical, PT, and behavioral health so your claim reflects your whole recovery, not just one piece of it

What We Don't Do

To be clear about our scope: we do not manage or prescribe pain medication for ongoing injury-related physical pain. That's a separate matter from psychiatric medication management — our psychiatry team can evaluate and treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health conditions related to your injury with medication when clinically appropriate. If a patient's physical pain involves medication prescribed by another provider, we coordinate around that care rather than managing it ourselves.

How We Diagnose and Document

Every work injury evaluation starts with a full medical assessment of the injury itself and screening for the psychological impact of the accident. That combined picture drives a single coordinated plan and a documentation record that reflects the whole person, not just the injured body part.

Our Approach

  1. Integrated medical, physical therapy, and behavioral health treatment under one plan
  2. Screening for the emotional and psychological impact of the injury from the first visit
  3. Regular work status and functional progress updates provided to your employer and claims adjuster
  4. A recovery plan focused on full functional and emotional recovery, not just physical clearance

What to Expect

Most patients are seen promptly after their injury is reported. From there, your plan may include any combination of medical follow-up, physical therapy, and behavioral health support, adjusted as your recovery progresses. Not every patient needs every service — the plan reflects what your specific injury and situation actually call for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need behavioral health support even if I'm not struggling emotionally?

No — behavioral health is offered based on need, not required for every patient. It's simply available and integrated for the patients who do need it, rather than something you'd have to seek out separately.

Do you manage pain medication for my injury?

No — we don't prescribe or manage pain medication for ongoing physical injury pain. We do offer psychiatric medication management through our psychiatry team for anxiety, depression, PTSD, or other mental health conditions connected to your injury, when clinically appropriate.

Will my employer know if I'm receiving behavioral health care?

Behavioral health records carry additional privacy protections beyond standard medical records — we can walk you through exactly what is and isn't shared as part of your claim.

A workplace injury is rarely just physical. Treating it as though it is — the way most workers' comp clinics do — leaves a real part of your recovery unaddressed. We built this program specifically to close that gap.
