Justice Services

Treatment that meets people where the justice system already has them.

Why We Built This Program

For a lot of people, the moment they're most reachable for treatment is also the moment they're hardest to reach — in jail, moving through the court system, or navigating probation with a dozen competing requirements.

Traditional treatment models wait for someone to walk through the door on their own.

Our Justice Services program goes the other direction: we build relationships with facilities, courts, and supervision agencies so treatment starts when someone is ready, not only when the system happens to line up with a waiting room.

This work draws on all of Mojave's core services — medication-assisted treatment, counseling, psychiatry, and primary care — coordinated specifically around the requirements and timelines of the justice system.

What We Provide

Why Continuity of Care Matters Here

The period immediately following release from incarceration is one of the highest-risk windows for overdose and relapse — precisely because treatment access, medication, and support often disappear right when someone needs them most. Reach-in services are built to close that gap, starting the relationship and, when appropriate, medication before release, so there isn't a dangerous gap in care during the transition.

How We Work With the System

  1. Direct coordination with courts, probation and parole officers, and case managers

  2. Documentation built to satisfy compliance and reporting requirements

  3. Communication timed to court dates, review hearings, and program milestones

  4. A single point of contact to reduce confusion across everyone involved in a case

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work directly with courts and probation departments?

Yes — we coordinate directly with courts, probation and parole officers, and case managers as a standard part of this program.

Can treatment start while someone is still incarcerated?

Yes — this is the core of our reach-in model, connecting people to treatment and, when appropriate, medication before release rather than waiting until after.

Is this only for people currently in the justice system, or can family members reach out too?

Family members and case managers are welcome to reach out on someone's behalf — we can walk through options and next steps together.

The justice system moves on its own timeline, with its own requirements. This program exists to make sure treatment access doesn't get lost in that process — and that the moment someone is ready, we're already there.
